Am I the only one who has been on a life's pursuit to find a robe or kimono exactly like this one? I've yet to find one. And isn't her bedroom ideal? We have Andie Walsh to thank for being the original connoisseur of vintage clothing, she loved vintage before vintage was "in". Photo is courtesy of this lovely blog I stumbled upon here.

Before her, I never thought that with red hair I could wear pink. That rooms looks like a magazine cover. Gorgeous, thanks for sharing. :)
ReplyDeleteI love that movie. I've watched it so many times over the years.
ReplyDeleteWelcome to SITS! We are excited to have you!
ReplyDeleteOhh the lace is so pretty too! x
ReplyDeleteWeird...John Hughes just died.
ReplyDeleteOMG!!! That's so sad!!! I love ALL of his movies!
ReplyDeleteI loved her movie. I can't say which one i prefer the most, maybe "SiXteen Candle". You know that I met her in a store in my city many years ago?

Aw! Rest in peace, John Hughes. Another one of my childhood icons, passes on.
ReplyDeleteAnd YES, that robe is perfection!
So pretty! This room is living proof that loads of pink can work so well together.
ReplyDeleteI love "Pretty in Pink" and I think Andie's wardrobe is still to die for, flower-printed robe included :) I've looked for something similar everywhere, and in the end I bought a dusty pink Japanese "haori" (less structured than a kimono) with a lovely motif of flowers on it. It is not the same as Andie's, of course, but it is a good substitute.
ReplyDeletelove that movie! check out my blog? http://hauteandfauxie.blogspot.com/
