Designer Favorites: Spring 2010 RTW Rachel Comey and Lyn Devon

Well because I'm a slow poke, I have to interrupt my Resort collections for a couple of the Spring RTW shows that happened recently. I will keep plodding along with the Resort posts however, so keep an eye out for those.

I have to say I'm quite unimpressed with Ms. Comey's collection. All of the pieces appear to have been pulled from the bargain box at the Goodwill and the models' hair appears to need a good washing. All of you know my absolute love for thrift shopping so nothing against that at all, it's just that if I'm going to pay hundreds of dollars for an item of clothing, I don't want to walk into a thrift store a week later and see the exact same or a similar thing hanging on the rack for $5.99. That being said, this was the only piece I found that was to my liking, and I'm only talking about the pants.

Keep in mind that these are my own opinions and if you happen to love every single piece that was in Rachel Comey's collection then that's fabulous! All images are courtesy of style.com

Lyn Devon

The Lyn Devon pieces have also appeared and I like this collection much better. There are interesting shapes, fabrics, color combinations and as a whole, quite a lot to study. This first piece is an absolute dream!
